City of Rosenberg in Texas administers fiscal policies that are historically conservative and offers a wide variety of neighborhood lifestyles. The city s economic development department consults with area business organizations such as the chamber of commerce, Greater Fort Bend Economic Development Council, and other local, regional and national organizations for the promotion of economic development within the city. These activities focus on retention and expansion of existing businesses, as well as attracting new businesses and community development. The Rosenberg Development Corporation was formed in 1995, and has been instrumental in funding various city development projects. The city offers a variety of services to residents and visitors, including a municipal court where traffic, criminal and city ordinance cases are heard, and police and fire departments that provide protection, rescue and first response services. It also provides animal control services to assist animals and their care-takers, restaurant inspections, and water and sewer services.
