Mexican American Unity Council
The Mexican American Unity Council, also known as MAUC, provides guidance services in the areas of education, housing and economic development. It serves the citizens of Bexar County in Texas. Incorporated in 1967, the council operates Palacio del Sol, which is a community that serves senior citizens and is equipped with televisions with cable connections. The Mexican American Unity Council also manages Las Villas de M rida, which is a housing complex that features a swimming pool, fitness center, patios and garages. The council emphasizes the social, intellectual, emotional and physical development of children in pre-kindergarten through grade five. The Mexican American Unity Council participates in various community events and programs.
