History
I have been a professional massage therapist for over 23 years, in the Chicago area, in rural Chase County, Kansas, and now in Austin, Texas. I have worked in chiropractic, salon, day spa, and studio settings. I've brought a chair to many offices and events. I've maintained a private practice throughout, and owned and operated Prairie Fire Inn and Spa in Strong City, Kansas, for fifteen years. My basic training at Chicago School of Massage Therapy included Swedish, sports massage, trigger point therapy, and other modalities. I've taken additional training in Myofascial Massage Therapy, energy healing with Rosalyn Bruyere, Polarity Therapy, fibromyalgia treatment, and prenatal massage. Texas Massage Therapist license 132641.
Specialties
My best skill is being present with the person on my table, and my strengths as a healer are empathy, compassion, and intuition. I apply these to every session, whether the client's goal is pain management, postural freedom, or feeling more at peace in their body. Everyone needs touch, regardless of how much you are suffering. I come to your location. I'm very sorry to say that while covid-19 is present in the community, I am not offering prenatal massage.
