HistorySweet Briar Child Development Center opened in 1961 when Mrs. Ellen Smith recognized the need for childcare in South Austin. The Sandra Campus was the first childcare center to open south of the river in Austin! In 2013 our Woodway Village Campus campus opened in Southeast Austin in the Woodway Village Apartments. We are proud of our long history as a quality certified learning center in South Austin. Our preschools have been recognized as Texas Rising Star Four-Star Centers and was recently awarded the AISD Pre-K Grant, allowing us to hire a certified teacher to prepare students for Kindergarten.
