Our Farmhouse was built in 1921, and it retains much of the original materials and charm. We love it, and we love sharing it with others. Since we had three bedrooms upstairs that were going unused, we thought we'd start a bed and breakfast. That way, we could share the farm and the area that we love with people other than our family. Getting to know the wonderful people who are our guests has made it one of our favorite projects! In 2004 we decided to convert the old smokehouse into a guesthouse. The plan was to use the existing three rooms as a sitting room and two bedrooms and to add on two bathrooms. In the process, we wanted to preserve as much of the character of the original building as possible. We are very pleased with the results. The original wood walls in the sitting room and bathrooms give a rustic feel, while the decor adds a bit of sophistication. Because of the intimate nature of the accommodations, The Smokehouse is only rented as a unit. In 2016 we added The Cottage.
