Powder Creek Playground is a unique community-built playground located at Powder Creek Park in Bonham, Texas. Designed by Leathers Associates with input from local children, this playground features elements specific to the community, such as an Alamo monument paying homage to the town's namesake, James Butler Bonham, and a Warrior Head representing the local high school mascot.
Thanks to the dedicated volunteers who contributed to the construction of the playground, along with those who provided meals and childcare during Build Week. The park utilized a variety of tools and equipment generously loaned by community members to bring this project to life.
To support the continuation of this valuable community asset, Powder Creek Playground has been actively fundraising to reach its goal of $121,000. With $116,000 already raised, the playground serves as a testament to the collaborative spirit and commitment of the Bonham community.
