Located in Pflugerville, Texas, the Travis County Emergency Services serves a population of more than 65,000 in an area of over 100-square-miles. The district provides fire suppression, fire prevention and emergency medical care. The district employs a staff of more than 40 uniformed firefighters, two inspectors, three senior officers and two administrative support personnel. There are four modern fire stations that are manned 24-hours a day and house the district s fleet of firefighting equipment. The district uses the latest fire suppression technology of compressed air foam systems. The system injects air into a water and foam solution creating an effective fire suppression agent.
