History
Northwest has been caring for the needs of refugees in Vickery Meadow for more than 15 years through language, after-school-tutoring, job training and family adoption programs. In 2014, we opened the Northwest Community Center in the heart of Vickery Meadow as a permanent home for our ministry to refugees. Today, through our partnership with Texas Health Dallas, our community center has expanded to 15,000 square feet and employs four (4) full-time staff. Through a variety of meaningful partnerships with like-minded organizations, we are able to care for more than 500 refugees each week.
Specialties
The Northwest Community Center exists to aid, empower and invite refugees to new life. We do this through a variety of programs and classes such as, English, After-School Tutoring, Job Readiness Training, and Youth programs.
