Middle Rio Grande Workforce was founded in 1970, and serves communities with a wide range of services in various areas, such as criminal justice, community and human resource development, elderly and emergency services, and federal and state programs coordination. The council is composed of members of special-purpose government and independent school districts, and municipal and county governments. It additionally organizes various cooperative projects among local governments. Middle Rio Grande Workforce administers a wide variety of federal and state benefit programs. The council offers planning for various public services, and it also reviews and coordinates federal, state and local programs of regional significance. Middle Rio Grande Workforce is located in Carrizo Springs, Texas.
