Mid-Coast Family Services is a nonprofit organization formed in 1999 after merger of the Women's Crisis Center and Mid-Coast Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse. The center provides various services and programs to eliminate family violence, homelessness and substance abuse. It additionally provides several youth services and family violence prevention programs. Located in Victoria, Texas, the center offers outreach, screening, assessment and referral services. It provides services to adults and youth affected by alcohol and drug abuse. The center offers referrals to individuals and families to support groups, health and human service agencies, and outpatient and residential substance abuse treatment. It provides drug and alcohol education through small group sessions that include group discussions, games, role-playing exercises, videos and student worksheets.
