The Food Service Department is a part of the Manor Independent School District, which was founded in 1885. The department administers child nutrition programs that include breakfast and lunch options for the students of elementary, middle and high schools. It also serves the special dietary needs of students, as well as offers catering services. The Food Service Department additionally participates in the National School Lunch Program, which is a federally assisted plan. The department works on providing snacks and lunch meals to students at reduced prices. In addition, it publishes a newsletter that offers information on several topics related to nutrition, fitness and health.
