The Longview Fire Department offers a range of safety and emergency rescue services. It is administered by the City of Longview in Texas. Founded in 1881, the department serves a population of nearly 75,000 people. It operates more than five fire stations, as well as maintains a staff of over 155 individuals. The department has a fleet of engines, ambulances, and ladder, heavy rescue and hazardous material trucks. It administers the Longview Juvenile Firesetters Intervention Program, which reduces fire incidences through early identification, evaluation, education and treatment solutions.
