History
Longoria Boxing Club is dedicated to providing youth of the community an organization which instills sportsmanship, fair play, physical conditioning, and mental, spiritual and emotional health. Boxers develop self confidence and self esteem while learning pugilistic skills and self defense. The importance of education is stressed. Many of our participants are considered at-risk youth. The objective is to promote and develop amateur boxing for the benefits of amateur boxers of all ages and abilities, in accordance with the standard under the rules prescribed by the United States of America Amateur Boxing Federation, Inc. (U.S.A./A.B.F.) and the local Boxing Committee. Our efforts have been phenomenal, with our boxers qualifying and competing and winning at national levels
Specialties
Longoria Boxing Club is a non-profit organization that is helping build champions inside and outside the ring. Unfortunately it takes more than enthusiasm, desire and commitment to sustain a program. Longoria Boxing Club is requesting financial assistance for general operating costs. Financing is also needed for items such as amateur boxing equipment in order to provide the necessary protection and safeguard measures for our underprivileged youth. Also in order to provide our athletes the opportunity to develop a wide range or Olympic-style boxing techniques and strategies, exercise and conditioning equipment, USA Boxing registration fee and annual competition trips are needed.
