The Lance Armstrong Foundation is a nonprofit organization that has been in business since 1997. The foundation serves the needs of individuals living with cancer. It offers the National Action Plan program, which represents more than 100 experts engaged in cancer survivorship and public health services. The program identifies and prioritizes cancer survivorship needs through surveillance and applied research, communication, education and training services, as well as various programs, policies and infrastructure. The Lance Armstrong Foundation focuses on cancer prevention, screening and health care services. The foundation has raised more than $250 million of revenue for patients. In addition, it participates in fundraising events and activities. The Lance Armstrong Foundation has partnerships with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL).
