History
Le Theatre de Marionette was created in 1985 by John Hopkins. In 1992, the first actual theater was opened in the old downtown area of Arlington, TX, In 1995, Le Theatre de Marionette moved to NorthPark in Dallas. In 2000, Le Theatre opened another location at Ridgmar Mall in Fort Worth but eventually closed in 2003. The Northpark Location closed in 2004. Le Theatre has operated in an itinerant status since 2004, performing throughout the DFW area and across Texas. Le Theatre currently performs regularly at area theaters, museums, libraries, fairs, and holiday events.

Olde World Marionette Shows for Children and Families! We specialize in providing several types of marionette shows for different events including: Birthday Celebrations, Holiday Programs, Fundraisers, Festival and Carnivals, Summer Programming, Educational Programs, Storybook Series, Puppetry Workshops, Master Classes and Residence Programs. We are a full theatrical marionette production company based in Dallas. Our Storybook Series include: Hansel and Gretel, Cinderella, Pinocchio, The Wizard of Oz, The Little Mermaid, Jack and The Beanstalk, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, Peter Pan, and our newest production - Sleeping Beauty. We also Provide Kabuki Theater Classes and Bunraku puppetry. We are the only bridge* performing marionette troupe in the Southwest United States. (*Traditional European Style of Marionette Theater in which the puppeteers are hidden from the audience)
