History
The Hummel family became involved in the hunter/jumper business in 1976 with the purchase of Hobby Horse Stables in Austin, Texas. During the last 38 years, they have built two completely new facilities. In 1982, Len Hummel founded Kings Bridge Farm by building the first facility on 46 beautiful acres in Leander, Texas - a laid back community on the north side of Austin. After 23 successful years in this location, KBF once again found itself competing with urban sprawl for its country environment and decided to move to a more rural location. In 2005, the Hummels purchased 26 acres on CR 105 in Williamson County. The site is conveniently located within a fifteen minute drive from the downtown areas of Round Rock, Georgetown, and Hutto. It is easily accessible to its north Austin csutomers via the toll roads and IH35. A modern 34 stall barn with three riding arenas has been of service to many equine enthusiasts since its completion in 2006.
