History
International Artists, Inc. was founded in Dallas, Texas in 1958 by Lucretia Donnell and federated as the National China Painting Teachers Association. It is a non-profit educational organization comprised of women and men from all over the world who enjoy he art of painting on porcelain. The organizations goals are to exchange thoughts and ideas through fellowship, maintaining the first porcelain art museum in the United States, sponsor an international convention biennially and publish four teaching magazines each year. In 1996, I.P.A.T. moved from Greenville Avenue in Dallas to Grapevine, Texas, and in 1998, it moved into the small home on Franklin Street. The collection of antique china in the museum, along with the addition of modern acquisitions, makes the collection a valued historical hallmark of styles throughout the past 100+ years.
