History
Dr Marilyn Brodeur established Infant Dental Center to create a focused setting to evaluate and treat babies with tongue tie and lip tie. Dr Marilyn was introduced to the infant frenectomy procedure during dental school and her hospital based residency at Johns Hopkins. Dr Marilyn had her first child in 2013. He was diagnosed with a posterior tongue tie and had a frenectomy at 3 days old. This procedure had such a positive impact on her breastfeeding relationship that she traveled to Montreal, Dallas, and Utah to receive additional training from laser frenectomy providers.
Specialties
Infant Dental Center focuses exclusively on treating tongue tie and lip tie in infants from newborn to 12 months. The practice is particularly sensitive to the needs of breastfeeding infants and their families. Tongue Tie and Lip Tie releases are completed with a soft tissue laser to finely and precisely remove restrictive tissue.
