Founded in 1965, Hardwick Elementary School enrolls more than 580 students in grades kindergarten through six. The school curriculum includes reading, writing, language arts, foreign language, math, science and social studies. It also offers special education in computers, physical education, speech and orchestra. It is equipped with computer lab, multipurpose room, library, gym, cafeteria and a media center. The school provides students learning experiences and involves all students in the development of social and personal character building skills. Students earn a Hardwick cap and pins for academic excellence, attendance and outstanding citizenship. Based in Lubbock, Texas, the school is a part of the Lubbock Independent School District.
