History

GHWH opened its doors to students for the 2018-2019 school year. However, we are part of the Great Hearts Texas network of classical academies which originated in Arizona.

Specialties

We are a tuition-free, public charter school that approaches education through a a classical liberal arts education with emphasis on the pursuit of Truth, Goodness and Beauty.

Lackland Independent School District

Established in 1953, Lackland Elementary School provides educational classes to more than 600 students every year and is located in San Antonio, Texas. It offers classes from prekindergarten through grade six in various subjects, including special education, computer technology, math, science, music, reading, and spelling and vocabulary. The school offers various services that include educational and instructional aide, and food and transportation services. It offers after school program for students who do not complete homework despite teacher interventions and assistance. The school has various clubs and organizations for recreational activities that include art club, choir, destination imagination, student council, science club and green team. Lackland Elementary School is operated by the Lackland Independent School District.
