Frontier Bank of Texas The Beginning: Five area leaders, Senator Ken Armbrister, Joseph J. Beal, Dr. Charles Graham, Steve Rivers, and Senator Kirk Watson, saw the need for a local, independent bank in Bastrop County. The City of Elgin, Texas, was chosen as the headquarters of the Bank. Each of the five Founders secured other local leaders to assist in the organization of the Bank. The Founders were very successful in their work, and the following Organizers were added to the group: Ernest F. Bogart, John Burke, William H. Caudill, Ralph and Susan Caulo, Melissa Cole, Beverly Daughtry, H. C. Ducharme, Benton Eskew, Jimmy and Cynthia Ferguson, Wayne Frank, Curtis Fuelberg, David R. Glass, Gayle Graham, Bill McLellan, Gary and Rebecca Meyer, Gregg and Denise Meyer, Roger and Suzanne Mogonye, Melvin Poldrack, Terry and Martha Poldrack, Rebecca Rivers, Bruce Schanhals, Tom and Nancy Scott, and Keith Snowden. The Plan: Each Organizer identified persons potentially interested in purchasing stock in an independent community bank. The group's plan was to place emphasis on offering local residents ownership in the institution. The Management Team: The Bank is proud to say that our senior management team has a combined total of 165 years of banking experience in Bastrop county! Our team is composed of: The Result: A public offering of stock was held, and the Bank was capitalized. Many local Shareholders were secured through the stock offering who, in turn, support the Bank's growth with their business. The doors were opened for business on June 11, 2007. The Future: After the main office is well-established in Elgin, Branches are planned for the cities of Bastrop and Manor, Texas. Our Mission Statement: Frontier will efficiently operate a sound, locally-based community bank offering consistently superb customer service and community leadership, while increasing the value of its stockholders' investment.
