The two interstate pipelines, CenterPoint Energy Gas Transmission Company and CenterPoint Energy-Mississippi River Transmission Corporation, together form one of the largest natural gas pipelines in the mid-continent United States. With more than 8,200 miles of pipe, its pipeline operations move approximately 1 trillion cubic feet of gas per year, which is 5 percent of the country's total natural gas volume. Its pipelines serve as a hub for the Midwestern states, which serve customers in Arkansas, Illinois, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Oklahoma and Texas. CenterPoint Energy-Mississippi River Transmission Corporation is located in St. Louis.
