Haltom City Public Works is one of the departments of the Haltom City Council. It is comprised of various divisions, including street and utility construction, street, water and sewer maintenance, water production and testing, engineering and environmental service divisions. The street and utility construction division is responsible for the replacements of water and sewer facilities; reconstruction of streets and demolitions. It maintains the street infrastructures that include crack sealing, cleaning and sweeping of streets, pavement markings, and curb and gutter repairs. Its street maintenance division installs traffic signals, school flashers, street signs and also mows the city lots. The water and sewer division maintains the water distribution and sanitary sewer collection systems, repairs broken water mains and cleans plugged sanitary sewer mains. The Public Works Department is located in Haltom City, Texas, and its environmental services monitors and provides public education about storm water run-off and the pollution of water.
