History
Owner Edward Michal established Delta Tax Service in Dripping Springs in February 2004, after being trained by H&R Block in 2002 and working for Liberty Tax Service in Austin during the 2003 tax season. Ed Michal obtained his Enrolled Agent certification in 2006 after determining that he needed the credential to represent his clients most effectively. He has been a member of the DS Chamber of Commerce since establishing Delta Tax and is also a member of the National Association of Tax Professionals (NATP). As an Enrolled Agent, Ed is required to earn Continuing Professional Education credits each year to ensure he is up to date on tax developments. In early 2012 Ed was invited to brief the International Society of Communications Specialists on tax issues at their annual conference in Plano, TX.
Specialties
Delta Tax specializes in tax preparation and taxpayer representation. Owner Edward J. Michal is an Enrolled Agent, meaning he has passed a rigorous IRS exam giving him the right to represent taxpayers before the IRS. Delta Tax also does prior-year tax prep, minimizing your true tax liability (if you don't file, the IRS might file a return for you that does not reflect all your deductions and credits). Delta Tax can also prepare state tax returns and assist with the preparation of Texas franchise tax returns. Lastly, Delta Tax can handle payroll for small businesses, including preparation of quarterly federal 941 and state TWC returns, as well as the annual federal W-2/W-3 forms, 1099-MISCs, and the 940 FUTA return. Delta Tax uses Drake tax prep software, among the best in the industry.
