The Dallas Cowboys Football Club, nicknamed 'America's Team,' is a National Football League franchise based in Irving, Texas. The team joined the NFL in 1960 and plays in the National Football Conference's Eastern Division. The Cowboys have appeared in eight Super Bowls and won five NFL championships. The team has nine NFL Hall of Fame members: Troy Aikman, Tony Dorsett, Tom Landry, Bob Lilly, Mel Renfro, Tex Schramm, Roger Staubach, Randy White and Rayfield Wright. The Cowboys are owned by Jerry Jones, who purchased the team from longtime owner Tex Schramm in 1989.
