Tomlinson II (Bubba), a graduate of Garland High School, earned his BBA in marketing and finance from Texas Christian University in 1969. He received his doctorate of jurisprudence from Southern Methodist University School of Law in 1971. In the late 1970's, Tomlinson and Luther Westerfield, JR., a Rockwall real estate broker, formed a brokerage company, Tomlinson-Westerfield Real Estate, Inc Soon thereafter, related companies were formed for real estate activities, which coincided with the corporate names. These included Tomlinson-Westerfield Construction Corporation, Tomlinson-Westerfield Development Corporation, and Tomlinson-Westerfield Management Corporation. Throughout the years, there have been various shareholders and officers of the related companies, however, Bubba Tomlinson has been and continues to be responsible for the overall management activities of all the companies. He has also continued to practice law in Dallas and Garland since 1971, and is the past president of the Garland Bar association. He was on the Board of Founders National Bank from 1986 through 1992 and Chairman of Provident Bank, Dallas, from 1997 through 1999. As the construction and development activities declined in the early and mid-1980's, emphasis was placed on management of real estate projects. Tomlinson Management Corp represented several banks in the management of their real estate portfolios, including Mbank, Inwood National Bank, and Founders National Bank-Skillman. Responsibilities for the bank properties involve assessment of condition and major/minor renovations and/or demolitions. Tomlinson-Leis Corp. is currently the real estate consultant for Founders National Bank and Inwood National Bank. Tomlinson-Leis Corp. also manages several homeowners associations and contracts monthly for the maintenance, rehabilitation, and capitol improvements for more than 250 properties. In the early 1990's, Tomlinson Management Corp acquired management for owners of properties that were purchased from lending institutions and government entities, resulting in the company growing over 50% in this time period. Dorbet, Inc, of Texas, an investment firm headed by Hawaii real estate developer Dorvin D. Leis, acquired 50% of Tomlinson Management Corporation in 1994. Dorvin is a prominent developer, entrepreneur, and philanthropist in Maui, Hawaii. Tomlinson Management Corp began managing part of his Texas holdings in 1991. A native Californian, Dorvin D. Leis began as a carpenter and plumber in 1952. He launched Dorvin D. Leis Company, Inc in 1963 as a partnership and assumed the sole ownership in 1966, engaging in commercial, industrial, and institution projects for piping, plumbing, steam fitting, and boiler work. Dorvin D. Leis Company, Inc is one of the top 350 sub-contracting firms in the USA, and was named Contractor of the Year by the Hawaiian Chapter of the American Public Works Association of August 2000. The August 2000 issue of Hawaiian Business Magazine named the company as the 176th largest corporation in Hawaii. As a result of Mr. Leis' investment in Tomlinson Management Corp, the name was changed Tomlinson-Leis Corporation. Under new structure, Tomlinson-Leis placed emphasis not only in managing real estate, but also the development of residential and commercial properties. Now, Tomlinson-Leis is at a point where we can capitalize on the economic growth of our area proving a wide range of real estate services. In 1990, Dorvin D.
