Anyone interested in geology and natural history will find the Crystal Mine Museum to be a fascinating and distinctive attraction. A big amethyst geode with stalactites, amethyst butterfly wing geodes, rose quartz gem trees, and a massive citrine geode are just a few of the breathtaking geological specimens on display at this museum, which is situated in the center of the lovely, old mining town of El Paso. The museum also houses some very large and best-preserved ammonite fossils. This museum is attached to the Crystal Gallery by Gem Center which is a crystal store that offers visitors the chance to take home a piece of the natural beauty, and is now offering gem panning inside the museum. The store, which is on-site, offers a wide variety of fine crystals, fossils, and minerals from all over the world, as well as handmade jewelry and other hand-crafted goods. One of the interactive activities and educational events are available to museum visitors is geode breaking!
