Cooper's Original Pit Bar-B-Q was established in 1953 by the late George Cooper. Duard Dockal worked for Mr. Cooper for seven years prior to purchasing this business in 1983. In April 2014, Lindell L. & Pam Estes became the third owners of this establishment. The same recipes and cooking styles from years ago are still being used. We specialize in bar-b-q that is grilled in a pit over mesquite coals. Orders are placed from the pit as well and we have an array of meats to choose from: brisket, chicken, pork loin, turkey breast, pork chops, ribs, sausage, and goat. Our sides are made in house and from scratch which would include beans (that are free with a meat order), cole slaw, and potato salad. Our spicy rub, tangy vinegar based pit sauce, and thick red sauce are homemade as well. For those dining in, you can choose from our air-conditioned dining room or outdoor pavilion area.
