Consolidated Associations of Railroad Employees, founded in 1996, is a health maintenance organization that offers a range of health care plans and services to railroaders and their families. It primarily provides health plans for employees and former employees of the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad. Its health plans include Medicare and supplemental coverage for retired railroaders, spouses and surviving spouses. The health center has a contract with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and the agency of the Federal Government that administers Medicare. It is authorized to pay for various services, such as doctors visits and consultations, hospital visits, X-rays and surgical procedures. Consolidated Associations of Railroad Employees is located in Temple, Texas.
