Founded in 1954, Grupo Condumex, a member of Grupo Carso, is one of the major industrial groups in Mexico. The organization is made up of more than 50 companies. The company operates five divisions. The automotive parts division manufactures engine cylinder liners, electric harnesses, and piston rings and liners that are distributed throughout North America, Mexico, Germany and Latin America. The cable division manufactures medical harnesses, automotive and power cables, aluminum conduit pipe, electrical conductors, magnet wire and telecommunications cables. The electronics division makes solar and eolian energy products, transformers, watthour meters, connectivity elements, and voice, video and data network integration products. The energy development division produces copper wire rod, and coil metal gaskets as well as parts for electric power substations, emergency power plants and industrial boilers. The Nacobre Industrias division manufactures, markets and distributes copper, brass, aluminum and various plastic products. Grupo Condumex has manufacturing operations throughout Mexico, as well as a facility in Grand Prairie, Texas.
