Como Elementary School is an educational institution has been offering a variety of academic and extracurricular programs for students in pre-kindergarten through grade five since 1954. It features more than 20 classrooms and has a seating capacity of up to 1,150 students. Como Elementary School is one of the largest elementary schools for African-American youths in the city of Fort Worth in Texas. It imparts instruction in fine arts, math and physical education. The school additionally maintains several educational and recreational clubs and groups. Como Elementary School is a part of the Fort Worth Independent School District, which enrolls a total of more than 80,000 students and governs over 80 elementary, nearly 20 middle and approximately 10 high schools. The district also offers a variety of programs that focus on postsecondary courses and employment opportunities.
