IT Solutions is one of the departments operated by the city of Fort Worth, Texas. It is a full-service technology solutions provider that works with all departments in the city. Its departments include administration, computer-aided dispatch, customer service and support, distribution application, geographical information system and infrastructure engineering division. The geographical information system department provides geographic data and software to every department in the city. The telephone services division is responsible for the maintenance and support of the telephone system throughout the city. IT Solutions manages more than 6,000 phones on nearly 130 private and public networks. It also manages the electronic mail system and filters out junk mail and viruses. Additionally, it supports radio systems covering five counties.
