History
The Chinati Foundation is a contemporary art museum founded by the artist Donald Judd. Located on the grounds of former Ft. D.A. Russell, Chinati's mission is to preserve and present to the public large-scale, permanent installations by a limited number of artists. The collection focuses on works that emphasize the relationship between art, architecture and the surrounding land.
