History
I grew up in Cairo, Egypt. After working as a general dentist for four years, I decided to be an orthodontist. After 3 years in an Orthodontic residency at Cairo University, I had my master's thesis on Cleft lip and Palate Patients and graduated as an Orthodontist in 1994. I have started my orthodontic career as an associate, then I had my own private practice in 1996. I was back and forth to the United States since 2009. I have been into several educational and volunteering positions in the United States plus keeping a part-time practice in Egypt. To learn more about the American Health System, I decided to study Public Health. I earned a Master's degree in Public Health from the University of Texas Health Science Center in 2012 and a residency in Dental Public Health from NYU Langone Dental Medicine in 2015. I moved permanently to the United States in 2017 and after providing orthodontic treatment to my patients in a different work setting, I have decided to start my own practice.
