The Caruth Institute for Engineering Education (CIEE) is a nationally recognized center of excellence dedicated to advancing STEM and engineering education for students from kindergarten through college. Through research, development, and evaluation of innovative programs, CIEE aims to increase the number and diversity of students interested in pursuing engineering or technology careers, in order to meet the growing demand for a highly skilled workforce. Their youth programs, camps, and initiatives provide students with hands-on experiences in engineering-focused STEM activities, fostering a love for science, technology, and mathematics.
CIEE recently sponsored the Friday Research Talk Spring Conference, which featured renowned educators and experts discussing topics such as interactional learning, student agency, and promoting epistemic agency in science classrooms. The Institute is committed to continuous improvement and collaboration, working closely with educators, researchers, and community partners to design effective learning environments and advance social justice and equity in STEM education.
