CALAB is one of the leading social service agencies in the United States. Operational for more than 15 years, it has branch locations in Dallas, San Antonio, Houston, Fort Worth, Arlington and Lubbock, Texas. The center offers treatment for individuals suffering from diabetes, Wilson's disease, schizophrenia, Bell's palsy, epilepsy, spastic quadreplegia, autism, atypical psychosis, muscular dystrophy, and depression. CALAB also treats individuals with San Filippo, Prader Willi, Angelman's, Marfan's and fetal alcohol syndrome, attention deficit hyperactivity, posttramatic stress, bipolar, impulse control and explosive disorders. The center is approved by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations and Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities. Its services include community-based programs, foster care, adult day and child care services, detention solutions and several prevention programs. Additionally, the center provides residential treatments, group and boarding homes, transitional services, individual, group and family counseling, respite care, and medicine and case management.
