Based in Austin, Texas, Akins High School is governed by the Austin Independent School District. The school offers classes to more than 2,200 students every year in grades nine through 12. It provides instruction in a wide range of subjects and has various academies for arts and humanities, social services, business and legal enterprises, agriculture, computer and engineering sciences.
