African Leadership and Reconciliation Ministries (ALARM) is a non-profit organization based in Dallas, TX, dedicated to developing servant leaders in Africa who promote reconciliation and transform communities affected by conflict and injustice. Founded in 1994 in response to the Rwandan Genocide and the civil and political unrest in Burundi and the DR Congo, ALARM focuses on training and equipping leaders who prioritize the needs of their communities and churches over personal and tribal interests.
With a vision of an Africa without violent racial, tribal, and religious conflicts, ALARM works towards its mission by offering long-term projects such as the Brenda Tailoring School in the DR Congo, the Institute of Women for Excellence (IWE) girls boarding school, the Cyimbili Coffee Plantation in Rwanda, the Pader Technical School in Uganda, and the Linda Primary School in South Sudan. Through these initiatives, ALARM has impacted over 129,000 individuals in Africa, fostering peacebuilding, justice, and community transformation.
