History
Zeitgeist shares space with Manuel Zeitlin Architects, an architecture and design firm offering visitors an open studio in which to interact with both art and architecture. Originally founded in Cummins Station, an incubator/hive for Nashville's creative community, the gallery re-located to historic Hillsboro Village in 1999. As a commercial gallery we have consistently enjoyed working relationships with area museums, state and city arts commissions, academia, and independent artist groups. It is through looking at the larger picture of what the visual art industry is doing that we feel we can offer more to artists and patrons.
Specialties
Zeitgeist is a contemporary art gallery featuring works by established and emerging artists in a variety of media. Local and regional artists are spotlighted, along with nationally and internationally recognized artists in small ensemble exhibitions and themed group showings and performances. The gallery specializes in working with private and corporate collectors assembling, maintaining, and articulating fine art collections. We are also particularly sensitive to the needs of first time art buyers. Shipping services available. Our hope is to engage viewers to explore the wealth of art and artists in our area and to provide a richer experience for those moved by art, artists and the creative process.
