Smyrna High School, founded in 1911, is a secondary school serving the educational needs of students in grades nine through 12. It has an enrollment of more than 1,500 students and is part of the Rutherford County School District. The high school provides classes in various subjects, including fine arts, business, English, foreign languages, history, math, physical education and science. It also provides special education to students with special needs.
