HistoryStudio1688 originated in a commercial building at 1688 Lamar Ave, which is where it gets its name. After 4 years in that location I moved to another commercial building in the Broad Ave. arts district for the next 10 years. Recently, I moved into a home based studio in the Grahamwood school district in order to get my little boy into a great school, I will be in this location for the next couple years...this is a personal private studio space. I teach glass art experience classes and private workshops for beginners with little to no prior experience working with glass. I conduct demonstrations at art festivals, farmers markets, schools, and art camps. I visit senior centers across the midsouth and facilitate art therapy with residents in senior centers and rehabilitation communities.
