Established in 1959, Upperman High School is an educational institution that is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. The school serves more than 500 students in grades 9 through 12. It provides a variety of general academic and vocational education programs. The school also conducts special education classes for students with special needs. It offers programs in physical education, instrumental music, and fine and visual arts. Upperman High School supports a range of sports activities that includes cheerleading, football, basketball, baseball, softball, rugby, volleyball and golf. The school operates various clubs, as well as supports extracurricular activities, such as chorus. Its staff includes classroom teachers, as well as a guidance counselor, resource officer and nurse. Located in Baxter, Tenn., Upperman High School is a part of the Putnam County School System.
