Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program is a federally funded program that operates under the government of the city of Blountville, Tenn. The program provides medical assistance and nutrition education services. Women, Infants and Children program also includes guidance, support, and lead screening and testing services. The program serves more than 7 million women and children. In addition, it offers vouchers for purchasing milk, cheese, eggs, juice, peanut butter and other food items. Women, Infants and Children program is administered by the Sullivan County Regional Health Department, which provides health promotion, family planning and health care services. The department offers individual protection services related to sexual assault, abuse and neglect.
