HistoryMy late husband, Jack A. Childers and I opened The Yellow House On Union as an art gallery for local artists. A number of local artists featured their work here. By 2015, I began to think more about a boutique with high end vintage clothing and accessories. We had our first vintage fashion show on a snowy February Saturday in 2015. After the passing of my late husband in 2016, I opened the 2nd floor to a vast vinyl collection, photography equipment, along with more art, books and a collection of Santa's from around the world, where it's always Christmas at The Yellow House On Union.SpecialtiesElegant vintage gowns, clothing, accessories. vinyl, rare books, antique toys, sports memorabilia, art, antiques and some much more... Outstanding paintings by noted artists and photography by the late Jack A. Childers, Jr. Rare books by Steinbeck, Dickens and Twain. And for collectors, first editions by Clancy, Grisham. Michener, Dixon , Rowling and the like. An amazing vinyl collection, including opera-Callas, Sills, Domingo, and Pavarotti; conductors-Fiedler, Bernstein and Williams; and classical composers-Bach, Beethoven, Tchaikovsky and Handel. For the rock and rollers: The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Mamas and Papas and more. For Memphis music fans, there is plenty of Elvis, Charlie Rich and Johnny Cash. Finally, many antiques and unique gifts.
