Pediatric Language Clinic (PLC) is a clinical program located on the west side of UTK's campus in Knoxville, TN. PLC offers family-focused early intervention services for children birth-to-three years of age with significant social communication behavior delays or a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The program follows the SCERTS Model and is funded by the Tennessee Department of Education as an Early Intervention Resource Agency (EIRA) at no cost to families.
PLC takes a team approach, with Speech-Language Pathologists and Early Interventionists collaborating with families, TEIS service coordinators, and other professionals to provide the best services for each child. The program offers center-based groups, home-based services, and consultation visits, tailored to meet the individual needs of the child and family. Additionally, PLC provides speech-language services for older children with ASD between the ages of 3-21.
