History
One Generation Away began in 2011 in the back of a Hyundai Santa Fe. Chris and Elaine Whitney personally delivered groceries to those in their community experiencing food insecurity, and in 2013, OneGenAway became an official nonprofit organization aimed at doing the same on a larger scale. This operation has grown and grown to serve millions of meals every year to individuals and families in need.
Specialties
OneGenAway fights food insecurity by bringing fresh, healthy foods to our neighbors in need. We operate a mobile food pantry on Saturdays in different parking lots in areas of need. Anyone can come and receive fresh produce, pantry staples, dairy and more -- no questions asked. For more details, view our mobile pantry calendar on our website.
