Founded in 1961, Oak Hill School is a coeducational, nondenominational elementary school offering a variety of educational and enrichment programs for students in prekindergarten through grade five. It teaches various subjects, including English, Spanish, Latin, math, science, social studies, health education, language arts, Bible studies, computer science, music, arts and crafts and physical education. It provides various extracurricular activities, such as science enrichment, literary circle, chess, book club, math club and Spanish club, basketball, soccer, tai kwon do, horsemanship, cheerleading, piano, violin, guitar and theater arts. The school is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, and is governed by a board of trustees comprising parents, alumni, grandparents and community leaders. Located in Nashville, Tenn., Oak Hill School enrolls more than 450 students.
