The South Shore Model Railway Club & Museum, established in 1938 in Quincy, Massachusetts, is a historical HO-scale model railroad club. Celebrating its 75th anniversary in 2013, the club now resides in a former U. S. Navy munitions warehouse in Hingham, Massachusetts, boasting an impressive 10,000 square feet of space.
With over sixty active members, the club features a 40 feet by 140 feet railroad, making it one of the largest in the country both in size and membership. Welcoming new members, the club holds official meetings on Mondays and Thursdays, with special events held for the public throughout the year.
Events include two-day shows in March and October, featuring dealers, visiting layouts, and a unique “White Elephant Table” for model railroad enthusiasts. Additionally, the club hosts a one-day open house in the summer and a "Scout/Family Night" in January, providing a diverse range of experiences for visitors.
