The Memphis Child Advocacy Center, also known as MCAC, is a private, nonprofit organization that serves the victims of sexual and physical abuse. Incorporated in 1987, the center offers a range of prevention, education and advocacy services for children and their families. It also administers a crisis intervention program, as well as provides individual and group counseling solutions. The Memphis Child Advocacy Center offers forensic interviewing services. In addition, the center conducts several educational sessions. It works in collaboration with various law enforcement agencies, such as the Memphis Police Department, Memphis Sexual Assault Resource Center and Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.
