Mayfield Diary Farms is recognized as the first dairy to package milk in yellow jugs that keep out harmful rays and protect nutrition and flavor. The dairy offers a full line of milk, cultured and ice cream products: milk products include two percent reduced fat, buttermilk, eggnog, fat-free skim, half and half, low fat chocolate, 1 percent low fat, whole and whole chocolate; cultured products include cottage cheese, sour cream and party dips; ice cream products include select and classic ice creams, less carbs ice cream, low fat frozen yogurt, sherbet, frozen punch and a variety of novelties. Established in 1923, Mayfield Dairy Farms serves nine southeastern United States from its Athens, Tenn., and Braselton, Ga. plants.
